She’s a Talker!!

Kaylee has been talking up a storm lately.  On Saturday morning she surprised all by bringing me a book and saying “Read to me.”  Her newest word is outside, which she wants to do all of the time now.  She brings me her shoes and then my shoes and says it over and over again pointing to the door with one hand and shoving shoes at me with the other…

She has a cold right now so her nose is all runny but otherwise she is doing really well.

This is the newest member of the Rekoske Family! We got her yesterday. She comes from the Ramona Animal shelter. She is a 4 month old Chihuahua/Terrier mix. The other pets are still warming up to her. Xavier likes her the most so far and it’s a toss up between who hates her the most out of the cats and Murray LOL… Kaylee likes her but the puppy is a little leery of her. Katie of course is the most attached and is promising to take good care of her. She is a tiny little thing, only weighs 5.3 pounds LOL…

My Grandpa passed away yesterday. It’s been quite a shock and they are still unsure on the why’s of it all. We do know that he had knee replacement surgery at the end of August and when came out of recovery he was in a stroke like state. On Thursday morning of last week he did have a stroke. Yesterday afternoon he was actually up and about and everyone thought he was doing better. Not an hour after that he said he didn’t feel good and stopped breathing. They were not able to bring him back. The services are next Friday. I am really going to miss me. He always called me Amos, and he was such a sweet person. I can’t believe he is gone.

OMG!!! Best Ribs ever in my life totally not kidding. 4 Members of the SOE Community team are here in Atlanta (Brenlo, Naylie, Grimwell, and Me), well we leave in the morning. We came to scout the area for Dragon*Con. We had a blast. Anyway last night we ended up at a place Naylie’s hubby recommended. When we arrived there was a line out the door and the place was like the name a “shack” we were skeptical but there was live music and ribs…. They are amazing… We went back tonight LOL….

So if you are ever in Atlanta you should most definitely head to Fat Matt’s Rib Shack…. 1811 Piedmont Ave. Atlanta GA!!!

Today is the day! I went with her found her classroom, met her teacher and left her there…. WAHHHH who said they could grow up. I pick her up at 6 PM from the after school program. I hope the went well.

Heroes Geek!!!

So a few weeks ago I was at Comic Con with my co-workers.  We stopped by the NBC Heroes booth.  I totally started geeking out.  I am a huge FAN!!!  Anyways they came at me with a clipboard and asked me if I wouldn’t mind being interviewed for their web site.  After some encouragements from my co-workers I decided to do it.  Julie one of my co-workers joined me.  We were filmed and it was a lot of fun.  This past Tuesday I was browsing the Heroes web site so I could watch the panels that took place during Comic Con and I found our video.  Check it out!

OK so sometimes it’s fun to be a little girl… I bought dolls for the girls awhile ago and they like them… But yesterday I decided I wanted one. So I made Gabriella. I was at the store anyway making a gift for my niece’s birthday. Anyway while Kaylee was napping I had a little fun with the dolls and their clothes LOL

We were also doing our school shopping for Katie. She got a bunch of cool stuff for school. We also were approached by someone who does TV Screenings. They gave me a card and said free screenings were taking place tomorrow (which is now today). Anyway Keith took her down there after Katie insisting. I was a little skeptical… They just called to tell me things went well and we will know something in the next 10 days. They called her Dakota with a better nose LOL… Anyway I will keep you updated. Sorry I’ve been quiet lately!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I got my book just under an hour ago!  I am already curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee!  I’ve made it to chapter 2!!!  Getting a snack and diving back in.  Not sure how long I will stay up but I am reading until my eyes won’t stay open anymore

Katie had her first dance recital this past Saturday. She is in Ballet 1 and Tap 1… She really enjoys it. This picture was taken during her ballet number the Pink Panther. Her tap number was titled Jungle Hop.

She did a great job and had a lot of fun. She is just taking ballet next season which starts mid-August. She can’t wait!! For the rest of the pictures go here.

The backstage ones were taken with my phone; I forgot the camera and Keith brought it when he came to see the show. I was in charge of changing Katie and Indah’s costumes during the first show. Iin did it for the second show. It sure brought back my memories of drama.

On the Diet Bandwagon Again

First off, Happy Independance Day!!

Secondly I am on the diet train… Both Keith and I started on Alli yesterday and we are tracking our calorie intake on the Daily Plate web site.  I am hoping to lose at least 20 pounds.  More would be great but I would be happy with 20.  So far we are doing well but you know it’s only day 2 and I was at home yesterday and I am home today.  Being at work will be the tricky part.
